We’ve wanted to design a green kitchen for some time, but needed the right client to come along. This small kitchen footprint needed to be be reworked to accommodate a family of three, one of whom is an executive chef.

Design priorities included maximizing storage, swapping the location of the sink and range (so that the sink would allow a view of the lake beyond their back porch), and getting rid of the drop ceiling.
We shifted the kitchen entry to allow for a pantry cabinet on the refrigerator wall, added a double-basin farmhouse sink, new lighting throughout, classic white subway tile, and topped the base cabinets off with a dark, soapstone-look quartz.
Our client now has a functional, airy kitchen with plenty of storage.
